MARVIN I. OBERMAN

Marvin I. Oberman was born in Charleston, South Carolina, March 20, 1938 and admitted to the South Carolina bar in 1962.  He graduated from the College of Charleston (B.S., 1959) and the  University of South Carolina School of Law (L.L.B., cum laude, 1962).    He was a member and Associate Justice of the Society of Wig and Robe, 1961-1962., and a member and on the  Editorial Board of the South Carolina Law Quarterly, 1961-1962.  He is the author of Case Notes, ASales - Manufacturer=s Liability - Implied Warranty,@ 12 South Carolina Law Review 131, 1960. He was  President of the  Charleston Lawyers Club in 1969.  He is a member of the Charleston County Bar, South Carolina Bar, and American Bar Associations.
 
He has lived most of his life in Charleston and has been very active in the community.  He has been married to Sandra Cohen Oberman for over 50 years and has two children, one of which practices law with him.
